::Pray without ceasing::

1 Thessalonians
5:16
Rejoice evermore.
5:17
Pray without ceasing.
5:18
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
5:28
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Matthew
21:22
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Pray without ceasing. To never stop praying? How do you do it? It is opening yourself up to having a conversation with God. At www.explorefaith.org, I found the following:

I will keep watch to see what he will say to me, and what he will answer concerning my complaint. --Habakkuk 2:1

There are quandaries about prayer. Will God actually speak to us? Would we be able to hear? How would we know it was God speaking and not our own over-active imagination conjuring up a voice we want to believe is God's? These questions can actually keep us from praying, or from believing that prayer is effective. And, even if someone were able to definitively answer the questions, we would doubt the validity of their words. This has been the case throughout the course of history - even when, as we perceive it - God was talking with the patriarchs and prophets of Scripture.

It's not plausible answers to the questions that will be the proof to us. It's waking up. It's wiping the sand from the nooks and crannies of our lives. God is always speaking to us when we have eyes to see and ears to hear. God has not stopped speaking since Bible times. But, perhaps, we have gotten sleepier. We've gotten so involved in the daily-ness of stressful lives, that instead of hearing God's voice around us all the time, we wait for specific times of prayer and hope we'll get a message from heaven. But, if we wake up to our lives and cast a glance of awareness around us, as if we were experiencing everything for the first time, a very remarkable thing will happen. Insights from heaven will be revealed to us, scents of God's presence will waft over us, the murmur of the Holy One will move through our soul. Oh yes, If we wake up to our lives, we will begin to see and hear what we can only now dimly imagine.

O God, when the heavy clouds of doubt keep me from prayer and the pall of sleepiness has overcome my soul, wake me up so that your voice can course through my veins.

::Another Response to my prayer request::

Dear Kimya:

Thank you for contacting Love Worth Finding Ministries and sharing your concerns with us. It is a great comfort and strength to me to know that we have a caring God who loves us and responds to the prayers of His people. I endeavor to pray daily for Love Worth Finding Ministries, and the many who, like yourself, respond with cares and concerns. We are grateful for the opportunity to pray for you individually. I have asked a member of our staff to pray for your faith to grow deeper, and for your family to see Christ in your daily witness.

Rejoicing in Jesus!
Adrian Rogers

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God. And the peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)

::Definition of a Fallen Christian::

Belatedly, I realized that perhaps I should explain in further detail how I came to name this blog. You see, I was reared an atheist. I turned to religion at a late age. I was an adult. I had children. I felt that something was missing in my life.

As I grow in faith, I have often wondered were there others similiar to me, who have come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, but feel as though they are unworthy. So, I decided to create this journal. I hope to post different "testamonies" and their related scripture that everyone may know Jesus wants you to know you are loved and special; you have a place in His kingdom.

Fallen, as defined in the Webster's New World Dictionary-Third Collegiate Edition, means having lost status or moral reputation; degraded. I know in my life experiences I have done things that I am not so proud of. Things that in another age I would have been shut out of church for. But, the fallen are who Jesus wants most to draw to His father, God.

The verb to fall, according to Merriam-Webster's online Dictionary, has a fifth meaning of "to commit an immoral act; especially to lose one's chasity." Well, I know that fits me, having fornicated; having had children.

But, when you say that prayer to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are washed clean. Scripture tells us that we are given those years anew. Is it not a blessing to be given those years of sin to live again in praise of God? So, that brings me to the final, and most important, definition of "to fall" from Merriam-Webster's online thesaurus: to submit, to succumb, to surrender. As Christians, we must submit to the will of Christ; submit to the doctrines of the scripture. We must succumb to the yoke of Christ, that we can enter the mind of Christ and walk along side Him, step by step. We must surrender those things of the world that prevent us from cleaving to God, that prevent us from having our walk in faith, that prevent us from knowing that God promises us an abundant life here on Earth.

So, though you may not be perfect, fallen Christian you may be, you can walk with your head held high, filled with the knowledge that "faith cometh by hearing the word of God." Romans 10:17 "I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him." Ecclesiastes 3:14 "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:15 "Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;" 1Corinthians 1:3-5

::Prayer Requests::

I went to several different websites to make online prayer requests to see what type of response I would receive. (My first prayer request was for myself and my daughters to grow in Christ.)

From
www.paulawhite.org: Please know that no need is too great for our God "who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us." (Ephesians 3:20) He cares so much for you. And so do we! We want to empower you to become all that God intends for you to be - - through our prayers, our teaching resources, and our many outreaches. Please do not hesitate to let us know how we can further help you. May God richly bless you. Paula White

From
www.thepottershouse.org: Your subject matter was Spiritual Guidance. We'd like
to send the following prayer to you to pray on your own behalf. Also, following this prayer, are some additional scriptures that you might find helpful in your current situation. "Father, I thank You for being the only wise God. I pray, in Jesus' Name, that I would be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Father, in Your Word it is written that You, Lord, order the steps of a good man and You delight in his way. I pray in Jesus' Name, that You order my steps in Your word and let no sin dominate me. It is also written in Your Word that I lack wisdom I can ask for it from You, Father. In Jesus' Name, I pray that You grant me increased wisdom and the courage to walk in that wisdom. I believe that as I trust You, God, and acknowledge You in all my ways that You will direct my path. I thank You Father for divine direction. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen." Scripture references: Jude 25; Colossians 1:9; Psalm 37:23; Psalm 119:133; James 1:5; Proverbs 3:5-6. God Bless,

As I get the other responses, I'll post them.

::::Introduction to Journey of a Fallen Christian::::::::::::::::::::

I wasn't reared a Christian, and I didn't proclaim Jesus to be my Lord and Saviour until adulthood. As I am on my walk of faith, there are times when I stumble or fall; hence the name of this blog, partly. But, I don't want the trials and tribulations I face to be the focus, but rather concentrate on this: when you fall, He is there to lift you up and put you back on your feet.

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand."
Psalms 37:23-24

"Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted." James 1:9

I pray in Jesus' name that these entries will help to enrich my and your relationship with God.
